A Spanish architect named Ricardo Bofill came across a dilapidated cement factory. This is when he was inspired and saw a ton of possibilities and potential for the place. From this inspiration, La Fabrica came to be and now 45 years later, the place has undergone a huge transformation. The building is now a gorgeous and unique home. The factory is found just outside of Barcelona and was actually a WWI-era pollution machine. It closed down and needed a great deal of repairs whenever Ricardo stumbled upon it. However, Ricardo and his team ended up purchasing the place anyway. After countless years of partial deconstruction, the architect surrounded the outside of the property with vegetation. Also, he decided to do something else with the property that is absolutely amazing!
